The area in and around the Upper Tiber Valley offers an ample choice of itineraries:
Nature itineraries include:
excursions along clearly indicated pathways through an incomparable variety
of Tuscan landscapes can be made on foot, on horseback or by mountain-bike;
Cultural itineraries:
can include archaeological, historical, artistic and religious excursions as well as excursions dedicated to a particular theme (e.g. "Castles", "The artistic trails of Pier della Francesca", or "On the tracks of San Francesco d'Assisi"). These trips will lead you through small suburbs and great cities of art and introduce you to museums and sanctuaries - all within a short distance from the complex.
Gastronomic itineraries:
Interesting for their many natural and historical attractions, gastonomic itineraries also allow you to delve into the traditional systems of production and maintenance of local specialities (e.g. discovering the wine-producing areas famous for the production of Chianti as well as the oil-presses which still work in the zone of Anghiari);
Shopping itineraries:
allow you to search for antique furniture (Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Arezzo) or for high-quality local crafts: lace, canvasses and tapestries, jewellery, cashmere, as well as leather and suede garments and accessories.
